Using a playslip makes Mega Millions easier to
play. Below is a copy of the Illinois
Lottery Mega Millions playslip. To complete it, follow the instructions
below.
Step
1: Mark 5 numbers from 1 to 56 in the upper play
area.
Step 2:
Mark 1 number from 1 to 46 in the lower
play area.
Important:
Check your play slip and ticket for accuracy of price, numbers,
options and drawing date. YOU are responsible for ticket accuracy.

- Quik Pik
Mark 5 numbers from 1-56 and 1 number from 1-46. If you mark a number in error, mark the VOID box for that play and move to the next play area.If you want the computer to randomly select your numbers for the "Select 5 and/or "Select 1" area mark the QP (Quick Pick) box.
- $1.00 Per Play
You can select up to 5 boards on each play slip. Each board is $1.00.
- Multiple Drawings
You can play Mega Millions for one drawing or multiple drawings. To play from 2-15 draws mark the "MULTIDRAW" box and tell the agent the number of drawings you wish to play. The agent will then enter the number of drawings.
How to Claim!
Winning tickets can be validated at any Illinois Lottery agent location
that sells Mega Millions tickets. Prizes in excess of $600 will
require a claim to be filed. A claim may be filed at any Lottery
agent, Lottery District Office or Lottery checkwriting Center.
Play Slip Requirements!
A player presenting a completed play slip for processing will receive
a Mega Millions ticket. Each ticket shall contain the selections
played in each play area. The drawing date(s) and the amount played.
The ticket issued shall be the only valid proof of play placed,
and the only valid receipt for claiming a prize. Be sure to verify
that the selections on the ticket are the selections requested on
the play slip for processing. The player agrees to abide by the
Illinois Lottery rules, regulations and game play directions. Cancellation
of Mega Millions tickets are prohibited.
The holder of a winning ticket may win only one prize
per play area in connection with the winning numbers drawn, but
shall be entitled to the highest prize won by those numbers.
The lottery ticket is deemed to be a bearer instrument.
Neither the Illinois Lottery nor the contractors shall be responsible
for lost or stolen Mega Millions tickets. Neither the Illinois Lottery
nor the contractors shall be responsible for Mega Millions tickets
redeemed by an agent error.
Checking your Numbers!
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 p.m..
Five balls will be drawn from 1 to 56 and one ball will be drawn
from 1 to 46. You win if the numbers on one row of your ticket match
the numbers of the balls drawn on that date. There are nine ways
to win a prize, from $2 to the jackpot. If no one wins the jackpot,
the money is added to the jackpot for the next drawing. Overall
chances of winning a prize are 1 in 40.
