Bronx Man Wins $20,000,000 Mega Millions Jackpot

Jerson Garcia of the Bronx has claimed his $20,000,000 jackpot for matching the five Mega Millions numbers and the Mega Ball drawn on January 17.

The winning numbers were 02, 12, 18, 24 and 39, Mega Ball 18.

Garcia elected to receive his jackpot as a single lump sum payment of $6,492,471 after required withholdings.

The winning ticket was sold at 170th Street Grocery located at 160 E 170th St. in the Bronx.

New York’s Mega Millions game generated $294,562,279 in total sales during fiscal year 2021-2022. School districts throughout the five boroughs received $1,257,264,823 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
