TALLAHASSEE - Today, the Florida Lottery (Lottery) is excited to announce that the sole Mega Millions® jackpot winning ticket from Tuesday’s $1.58 billion [advertised value] drawing was sold in Florida! The jackpot-winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Publix, located at 630 Atlantic Boulevard in Neptune Beach. The winning numbers for the August 8, 2023, drawing were 13-19-20-32-33 and the Mega Ball was 14. The retailer will receive a $100,000 bonus commission for selling the jackpot-winning Mega Millions ticket.
Florida Mega Millions jackpot winners have 180 from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. However, to elect the one-time, lump-sum cash payment option, the claim must be filed within 60 days after the winning draw date. The jackpot prize winner has the option of receiving their winnings in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump sum payment of $783.3 million [advertised value].
In addition to the jackpot prize, Tuesday’s drawing also produced one $2 million Florida winner from a ticket matching all 5-of-5 white balls. The $ 2 million winning ticket was purchased at Kwik Stop, located at 830 Columbus Parkway in Hollywood. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Mega Millions ticket.
This series of Mega Millions jackpot rollovers generated more than $73.4 million for education in Florida.
