New Jersey casino worker wins $1 million
Drawing Date: 11/27/2015
December 28, 2015 - Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, announced that the $1 million second-prize winner from the Friday, November 27, 2015 Mega Millions drawing claimed the prize. Ramon Rosario, 62, from Pleasantville in Atlantic County came to headquarters to claim the ticket that matched the five white balls drawn.
Mr. Rosario is a regular patron of City $.99 Cents Market on 1410 Atlantic Ave. in Atlantic City, at which he purchased the winning ticket. Rosario explained that he plays using a specific strategy. At the beginning of the month, he purchases five, quick pick number sets on one ticket. Then, for each drawing that he wishes to play, he uses the same set of numbers generated by the initial quick picks.
Mr. Rosario has been an Atlantic City casino kitchen worker for 16 years. When asked how he will enjoy his winnings he said that it will allow him to pay off some student loans and retire earlier than anticipated. Congratulations to Mr. Rosario and to the lucky retailer for selling this winning ticket.
The winning numbers for the Friday, November 27, 2015 Mega Millions drawing were: 16, 20, 39, 56 and 59. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03. If the ticket had been purchased with the Megaplier option it would have been worth $3,000,000. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
