Roslyn player credits “Nothing But Luck” for his $1,000,000 win

May 8, 2015 - Sixty-one-year-old Charles Miller of Roslyn, N.Y., won his $1,000,000 second prize with a set of Quick Pick numbers he purchased for the March 27 Mega Millions drawing. Miller, a semi-retired attorney and a weekly Lottery player, said he plays the Lottery, “To see what I can win.”

Married with children, Miller said he is not terribly surprised by his win.

“Luck is luck. That’s all there is to say.”

The winning numbers for the March 27 Mega Millions drawing were 17 – 21 – 36 – 58 - 70 and Mega Ball (3).

When asked about plans for his one-time net payout totaling $661,800, the self-described “very subdued” winner replied, “I’m sure I’ll find something to do with it.”

Miller purchased his lucky ticket at Williston Park Dairy at 675 Willis Ave. in Williston Park, N.Y.
