Virginia man stunned by $1 million win!

January 12, 2018 – When Marcus Cobb bought his Mega Millions ticket, the jackpot stood at an eye-popping $450 million. On the morning after the drawing, the Dale City, Va., man heard there had been a jackpot winner somewhere else, so he didn’t bother looking at his ticket right away.
 
When he finally did check the winning numbers in the January 5 drawing, he discovered he’d matched the first five numbers, missing only the Mega Ball number.
 
“I looked at my ticket and I was stunned!” he said as he later claimed his prize. “I looked at the ticket again and again, and then I started yelling to wake everyone up!”
 
He was so excited, his wife Demetria said she was afraid he’d have a heart attack.
 
Mr. Cobb bought the winning ticket at Shell/E & C, 14352 Gideon Drive in Woodbridge, Va. The store received a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
 
He used Easy Pick, allowing the computer to randomly select his numbers. The winning numbers in the January 5 drawing were 28-30-39-59-70, and Mega Ball number was 10.
 
The Cobbs say they intend to save for their children’s college educations.
