Kids’ birthdays bring Indiana man $40,000 Drawing Date: 2/9/2021 February 19, 2021 - Brian P., of Crawfordsville, Ind., purchased a winning Mega Millions® ticket at Midwest Clean Fuel on 2501 Lafayette Rd. in Crawfordsville. Brian matched four numbers and the Mega Ball and purchased the Megaplier, which multiplied his prize by four, ultimately culminating in a $40,000 prize. For the past few years Brian has played the same combination of numbers on all three of the major Draw games (Mega Millions, Powerball, and Hoosier Lotto) that are offered in the state of Indiana. “I always play my kids’ birthdays for every draw that is offered!” Late Tuesday (Feb. 9) night, Brian decided to check his numbers before he went to bed. “I was lying down in bed and searched for the winning numbers on my phone,” he said. “When the numbers popped up on my screen, I immediately recognized that I had the Mega Ball right, then I kept matching numbers.” The Tuesday night draw was one number away from matching the combination he had played so many times. Brian couldn’t believe his eyes, “I had to run downstairs and check the numbers on our computer just to make sure that I was seeing the right thing.” Brian immediately told his wife and she couldn’t believe it! As of now, he does not have any plans for the money, but he is excited for all of the possibilities!
